about
Founding member of The Vines, and Youth Group bassist, Patrick Matthews wrote and sings At the Edge of the World. He describes his song as "looking back at the world from its edge, which was a NSW South Coast holiday house". Originally titled Buffalo Grass (a hardy lawn grass common in eastern coastal areas), the song includes a shoutout to Danny Allen - a friend who was out on tour with NY band "The Drums" at the time of writing, and an ever-so-slightly psychedelic breakdown midway through.
